Charleston Festivelo 2006
Leaving Rincon before noon on Thursday of last week, I avoided light rain and got my canopy and tent set up before it started. Friday dawned with some wind and we crossed the new Ravenel Bridge with a pretty good wind. Coming back across the bridge, the wind was gusting up to 50mph and most of us walked the bridge to keep from being blown over!
Saturday brought a beautiful day, but a little chilly. We rode to Folly Beach where we were served lunch. Sitting in the sun on the Folly Pier was a real delight at the combo rest stop and lunch stop. The sky was clear, warm sunshine, very nice people, so I could have sat there much longer than the 45 minutes!
Was going to take the guided tour of historic downtown on Sunday, but rain started while I was eating breakfast, so I packed up and came home.
This was a great event!
