Spring on Johnson Square in Savannah, GA

One of many squares layed out by Savannah's founder, General Oglethorpe, this one is my favorite. Mainly because it was the first square where the first businesses were located around it in 1733. On this square the Delaration of Independence was read to a cheering crowd as they gained independence from taxing British on August 10, 1776. Notable speakers here were Henry Clay (1847) and Daniel Webster (1848).
